A glass of red wine on a bar counter with a bottle of wine behind it. In the background, there are beer tap handles and decorative signs, including one labeled "Hobgoblin" and another with a cartoon character. The bar appears cozy and dimly lit.

Hello from our family to yours. We’re delighted you’re here

We live and work at The Swan Inn, tucked in the beautiful village of Lawshall in Suffolk. We’re a family-run pub, in an 18th-century thatched building full of character and warmth, where old-world charm meets friendly, modern hospitality.

When you walk in, you’ll see familiar faces, genuine smiles and a welcoming atmosphere — that’s because this is our home as much as it’s yours.
Why we do what we do:

  • We believe in fresh, honest food made with care — no shortcuts.

  • We believe in community — this pub is part of the village; friends gather, families meet, dogs are welcome.

  • We believe in making every guest feel at ease — whether you’re with us for a quick drink, a leisurely lunch, or celebrating something big.

  • We’ve built a place where you can relax and feel looked after. We hope you’ll join us often, and come to feel like part of the family.
